JobsPrincipal Product Development Engineer
Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a Principal Sr. Product Development Engineer to lead the Mixed-Signal Product Development team. This role involves building technical roadmaps and processes for advanced CMOS mixed-signal technologies, guiding them from design validation to mass production. The engineer will serve as a key technical link between various teams, driving yield architecture and product performance validation for innovative solutions in AI and high-performance computing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in semiconductor product development and a strong technical background in mixed-signal systems.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- More than 12 years of background in semiconductor product development, validation, or manufacturing engineering.
- 12+ years of experience serving as a technical lead or principal engineer in product lifecycles.
- Extensive technical knowledge of advanced CMOS process technologies and analog/mixed-signal circuit behavior.
- Proven experience in yield analysis and applying statistical data analysis tools for engineering insights.
- High proficiency in automation and scripting for validation and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Bridge design requirements to manufacturing solutions as a cross-functional leader.
- Drive the end-to-end technical product development strategy from early silicon validation to high-volume manufacturing.
- Define and implement advanced validation methodologies and innovative test strategies for silicon builds.
- Work closely with development and testing groups dedicated to product validation and production.
- Influence strategies for design-for-test, design-for-manufacturability, and built-in self-test.
- Coordinate complex parametric and mixed-signal characterization frameworks for high-speed interfaces.
- Lead root-cause analysis and resolve complex technical anomalies related to silicon performance.
- Architect yield improvement initiatives and manufacturing efficiency improvements across test flows.
- Provide structured, data-driven feedback to analyze silicon performance and improve future architectures.
- Establish scalable data analysis frameworks and statistical methodologies for production monitoring.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
