The Software Foundations and Management organization within Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking talented engineers for its Managed Applications Platform (MAP) team. This team is responsible for developing systems that enable Amazon's developer community to build critical services and technology. The focus is on creating a fully-automated continuous deployment workflow that allows engineers to manage applications in the cloud efficiently. The role offers the opportunity to significantly impact Amazon's operations and contribute to the next generation of software systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software and systems that support automated deployments and fleet management.
- Collaborate with engineers to enhance the continuous deployment workflow.
- Design and implement scalable solutions for managing applications in the cloud.
- Contribute to the development of tools and services that improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure high reliability and performance of the systems used by Amazon engineers.
