Job description

The Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL Engine team is seeking experienced engineers to develop large-scale database systems that operate across multiple datacenters. This role involves designing and implementing critical system software components for AWS's industry-leading database services. The team values collaboration, mentorship, and innovation, providing an environment where engineers can grow and tackle challenging technical problems. Candidates will have the opportunity to work on distributed systems, database internals, and performance engineering.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 4+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • 3-4 years of experience writing and managing large scale database software

Responsibilities

  • Solve challenging technical problems at every layer of the stack.
  • Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions.
  • Build high-quality, highly available, always-on products.
  • Research implementations that deliver the best possible experiences for customers.
