Job description

The Business Intelligence Engineer will join the BI Engineering, Analytics, & Data Science team at Amazon Robotics, focusing on supporting Robotic Storage Tech programs. This role involves leveraging statistical analysis to evaluate new robotic products and collaborating with cross-functional teams to inform program decisions. The engineer will design and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions to track product performance through various development phases. The position requires a strong foundation in data analytics and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience in statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience in Python.
  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
  • Experience in data mining and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Execute foundational statistical methods to evaluate new containerized and workcell system performance.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Program Managers, and engineering teams to translate ambiguous product questions into structured analyses.
  • Identify and onboard data sources from new systems and define relevant metrics.
  • Author recommendation-focused whitepapers and deep-dive analyses to inform product development decisions.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions to track product phases.
  • Create and optimize scripts to streamline BI processes and select appropriate analytics tools.
