Job description
Join Twitch's Memberships team within the Commerce Engineering organization, where the focus is on building rewarding experiences for creators. The team is responsible for features like channel Subscriptions, Gifting, and Turbo, aiming to empower creators to make a living doing what they love. Members will work collaboratively to design, build, and maintain systems that can scale to millions of concurrent users. The role is based in San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA.
Requirements
- 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on building scalable systems
- Excellent proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, and Go
- A track record of building product experiences that users love
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent real-world experience
- Familiarity with Twitch's tech stack including Golang and TypeScript/React
- Experience working with mobile development, either native or hybrid
- Experience with AWS technologies like ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, and Step Functions
- A passion for gaming, streaming, or the Twitch platform
Responsibilities
- Create interactive experiences that are rewarding for both viewers and creators
- Architect and build robust, scalable applications that can handle millions of concurrent users
- Participate in Operational Excellence work to maintain and support live services
- Collaborate with fellow engineers, product managers, and designers to build new products and solutions
