Job description

The Supply Chain Engineer is responsible for enhancing factory manufacturing availability and addressing materials gap analysis due to supply and quality issues. This role involves optimizing the raw material supply chain to minimize risks and waste while ensuring business continuity. The engineer will lead quality improvements and manage supplier relationships to drive performance and cost savings. Additionally, they will mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall improvement of Intel's supply chain processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field and 6+ years of experience OR PhD in the same fields and 4+ years of experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in semiconductor factory operations, supply chain engineering, Supply Chain Planning, or supplier management.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and model-based problem solving (MBPS), KPI development, and performance tracking for supply chain operations.
  • Project management experience.
  • High systems proficiency including all MS applications.
  • Excellent data analysis skills, including forecasting and budget management, with experience in data analytical tools such as Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Support management and senior leadership in incorporating process and quality improvements in Intel's supply chain and logistics strategy.
  • Define material inspection methodology and implement plans to optimize the supply chain.
  • Contribute to product long range plan development by defining next generation methodology capabilities.
  • Track supply demand trends and conduct root cause analysis to identify opportunities for process and quality improvements.
  • Lead supplier selections for new business and drive product and purchase specification content.
  • Perform alternate sourcing risk mitigation for single sourced commodities and establish control standards.
  • Drive supplier process window validation activities and improvements on quality, reliability, yield, and cost.
  • Lead quality excursion management and conduct failure mode analysis with suppliers.
