Job description

The Construction Tool Install Equipment Engineer will join Intel Foundry Construction and Sourcing to support the development of semiconductor manufacturing factories globally. This role focuses on ensuring that tools and equipment are ordered and delivered in alignment with project schedules. The engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders to forecast equipment needs and manage project plans effectively. This position requires a commitment to safety and innovation in construction practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture or closely related technical field
  • 4+ years of experience in Project/Construction Management or Tool Install/Qual and/or Process Engineering
  • Knowledge and expertise in process tool equipment is preferred
  • Experience of medium to large-scale projects in a leadership role is preferred
  • Lean or 6-Sigma certification is preferred
  • PMI Professional Project Management Certification (PMP), Lean or 6-Sigma is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Factory Owners and stakeholders to ensure tools and equipment are ordered in alignment with Tool Install Schedule requirements.
  • Represent local FCS in CTI and VF forums.
  • Work with stakeholders to forecast equipment and funding requirements.
  • Ensure commit and purchase orders are in place for tools, equipment, and kits.
  • Collaborate with EMS and Systems Owners to ensure systems reflect equipment requirements and schedule.
  • Drive systems and part number configuration accuracy for RFT order and kits delivery.
  • Align stakeholders to enable planning for Tool Install milestones and activities.
  • Attend meetings for planning and coordination.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure business needs are understood and materials are positioned to deliver services on time.
  • Maintain awareness of commercial issues, risks, and capacity with contractors.
  • Ensure staff are trained and comply with SOPs and procedures.
  • Issue change orders and funding approvals before any work commences.
  • Incorporate VF learnings into Ireland Tool Install Operations.
  • Ensure safety, housekeeping, and standards are maintained in facilities.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into high-quality project plans.
  • Foster innovation and transform traditional construction practices.
  • Build and drive a safety culture of caring in every business environment.
