Rivian is seeking an advanced Staff, SAP Basis Platform Engineer to lead the transition to automated, AI-driven SAP platforms in the cloud, focusing on the SAP S/4HANA ecosystem. This role involves working with minimal supervision to develop strategies that exceed goals within the Basis function while contributing to broader business objectives. The engineer will act as a change agent, influencing modernization efforts and securing stakeholder buy-in. The position is based in Atlanta, GA and reports to the Sr. Manager, ERP Platform.

• Advanced expertise in SAP Basis and experience leading enterprise-level SAP S/4HANA initiatives.
• Proven experience executing complex system upgrades and RISE with SAP migrations.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Relevant SAP and Cloud Certifications are highly preferred.
• Proficiency in modern automation tools and scripting languages.

• Lead complex modernization projects and design modern SAP landscapes.
• Execute successful SAP S/4HANA upgrades and migrations to RISE with SAP.
• Champion the transition to proactive platform engineering through automation.
• Implement full-stack SAP observability and predictive system health management.
