Job description
KLA is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join its Optical Metrology Division, which focuses on advanced semiconductor manufacturing technologies. The ideal candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment, contributing to the development of complex software-hardware integrated systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and reliability. The team is dedicated to solving challenging real-world problems in semiconductor equipment.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with 1 year of related work experience, or a master's degree with 4 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience.
- Proven experience in developing and troubleshooting multidisciplinary software-hardware systems.
- Strong programming expertise in C++ and/or C#.
- Experience with multithreading and multiprocessing concepts.
- Hands-on experience developing applications on Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on debugging complex systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software components for complex software/hardware integrated systems.
- Build high-performance, scalable applications leveraging C++, C#, .NET Core, and .NET Framework on Windows and Linux platforms.
- Develop and optimize multithreaded and multiprocessing applications for performance-critical systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, systems, and algorithm teams to integrate software into end-to-end solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve system-level issues using strong debugging and troubleshooting techniques.
- Leverage AI tools and technologies to accelerate development, testing, and analysis workflows.
- Contribute to system architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly through presentations, documentation, and cross-team discussions.
