Job description
The Associate Test Engineer Trainee position at KLA is a 12-month program designed for students pursuing an Associate's Degree. This role involves working in a collaborative environment focused on advanced technology in semiconductor manufacturing. Trainees will assist with the setup, calibration, and testing of various electronic components and systems. The position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week during the summer and 20 hours during the school year.
Requirements
- Some college education is required.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment is required.
- Basic understanding of optics, mechanical, and electrical principles is helpful.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are necessary.
- Strong organizational skills and logical problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with performing the set-up, calibration, and testing of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
- Work on complex assignments requiring independent action and initiative.
- Perform simple troubleshooting as needed.
