The Staff Software Engineer for YouTube Ads Marketplace Optimization will lead a team of ML/AI/SW engineers to enhance the YouTube Ads business by understanding user interests and recommending relevant ads. This role involves working with large-scale AI systems that model users' commercial interests using Google-wide data sources. The engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing recommendation systems and optimizing ML infrastructure. The position requires versatility and leadership qualities to tackle new challenges across the full-stack.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- 5 years of experience building and deploying recommendation systems models in production.
- 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
Responsibilities
