The Investment Operations Team at Blackstone is responsible for managing various aspects of the investment process, collaborating with multiple departments to ensure smooth operations. Analysts in this role will engage with all BXMA teams, taking on significant responsibilities and overseeing offshore teams. The position focuses on preparing reports, leading projects, and contributing to process improvements using data visualization and AI tools. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and a collaborative spirit.
Requirements
- 1+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably within asset management or banking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Pivot Tables, and PowerPoint.
- Experience utilizing LLMs and AI tools in an enterprise context.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with VBA/Power Query is a plus.
- Familiarity with data engineering, data analytics, and business intelligence tools is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of fund economics and investor reporting across public and private markets is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Participate in operational aspects of fund launches, restructurings, and liquidations.
- Maintain allocation models for future funding activity and document allocation/redemption notes.
- Track investment and legal deadlines while analyzing fund and manager liquidity.
- Collect monthly AUM data for portfolio investments and monitor manager deadlines.
- Create and implement process guides for the team's various functions.
- Assist in preparing materials for meetings and prepare ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new products and investment managers into proprietary systems.
- Manage specific reference data for internal analysis and external client reporting.
- Update and manage portfolio investment contact information for communications.
- Supervise offshore teams managing recurring tasks for the Investment Operations Team.
- Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance projects.
