Job description
The Worldwide Events and Experiences team at Apple is seeking a hands-on senior broadcast engineer to support both permanent facilities and temporary event environments. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability and resilience of technical systems that transmit video, audio, and data during high-visibility events. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to maintain and improve broadcast infrastructure, emphasizing IP-based media workflows. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in live events and broadcast engineering.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on broadcast engineering experience in live events or production operations.
- Experience operating or supporting broadcast platforms such as Imagine, Evertz, or AWS Elemental.
- Strong working knowledge of IP media transport technologies, including SMPTE ST 2110 and AES67.
- Comfortable administering and troubleshooting Linux and macOS systems used in broadcast operations.
- Experience with cloud media services or hybrid workflows, including AWS MediaConnect.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on engineering support for broadcast facilities and event production environments.
- Work on live production, infrastructure readiness, signal routing, and media transport.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and cross-functional teams to maintain systems.
- Diagnose complex signal, network, and system issues under live production conditions.
- Contribute to technical operations center buildouts and facility upgrades.
