The Bridge Engineering Professional Associate role at Jacobs focuses on designing and analyzing bridges and other structures. Requirements
- A master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field and 4 years of work experience as a Bridge Engineer or related Structural occupation.
- Alternatively, a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field and 7 years of work experience as a Bridge Engineer or related Structural occupation.
- Expertise in bridge design, including steel girder bridges and prestressed concrete bridges.
- Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and structural analysis software.
Responsibilities
- Load rating existing bridges and culverts.
- Plan and design bridges, retaining walls, foundations, and other structures.
- Develop preliminary and detailed construction cost estimates.
- Assist with feasibility studies and analysis of complex structures.
- Research code issues and work with city, county, and state officials.
- Collaborate with the CAD technician team.
- Perform structural modeling analysis to determine loading and forces in the structure.
- Prepare design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for clients' capital projects.
