Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Master’s degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Professional engineer (PE) license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and contribute to critical projects in the Mining Sector Team.
  • Apply geotechnical engineering principles to develop effective solutions for surface mining projects.
  • Perform geotechnical engineering reviews and provide key input on large-scale projects.
  • Mentor and develop mid-level and junior staff to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Support business development by identifying and pursuing growth opportunities with clients.
  • Act as or become the Engineer of Record on appropriate projects, ensuring technical excellence.
