The RF Systems Engineering team at Apple is seeking a passionate and self-motivated individual to enhance the overall system performance of multi-radio coexistence across various wireless technologies. This role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional partners to assess and improve multi-radio performance for end users. The successful candidate will engage in both hardware and software aspects of coexistence issues, ensuring that Apple products meet high performance standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the design and implementation of innovative wireless solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience with at least one radio technology such as Cellular, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Thread, NFC, or UWB
- Knowledge of RF component characteristics and experience using lab equipment including spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes
- Master's degree in electrical engineering with 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience debugging and performing RF measurements at both conducted and radiated levels
- Familiarity with wireless protocol stack at the RF, PHY, and MAC layers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Assess platform-level multi-radio coexistence performance and its impact on end users
- Collaborate with wireless software partners to design software mitigation schemes and assess trade-offs
- Bring up devices under test and establish test procedures for multi-radio coexistence studies
- Analyze wireless logs to understand field usage patterns and conduct controlled performance studies
- Propose hardware and software design changes for coexistence issues while considering design constraints
- Execute validation and characterization test plans to meet coexistence performance targets
- Track validation status, analyze results, and communicate insights from data
- Collaborate with partners for circuit-level and system-level simulations to identify risk areas
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life.
