Job description
The Senior Software Engineer role at Microsoft focuses on the Auction Logic team within the Monetize Platform, which aims to create an efficient digital marketplace connecting advertisers and publishers. The engineer will lead cross-team efforts to build critical products, participate in setting the roadmap, and own significant areas of the real-time platform. The team is responsible for optimizing software performance and handling complex technical challenges at scale. This position emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and mentorship within a dynamic engineering environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-team engineering efforts to build business critical products for publishers and buyers on the Monetize platform.
- Design and implement scalable solutions including new features and enhancements of the platform.
- Participate in planning sessions with Product Management and Engineering team leads to construct feature requirements and specifications.
- Produce prototype features quickly and gather feedback from clients.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to increase code efficiency, maintainability, and robustness.
- Support and debug production level issues and provide fixes in an expedient manner.
- Mentor junior engineers on best practices in software development.
