Job description

This role is for an engineer in the SoC design machine learning team at Apple, focusing on optimizing chip design processes through machine learning methodologies. The team is dedicated to building efficient application processors for the next generation of Apple products. The engineer will collaborate with multi-functional teams and contribute to the development of generative AI solutions. This position requires a strong background in machine learning and chip design to ensure state-of-the-art solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of BS degree with 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Practical experience and knowledge of generative AI and modern machine learning methods
  • Experience with RAG systems including embedding models and retrieval strategies
  • Experience with AI evaluation and testing proficiency including designing test suites
  • Experience with current deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX or MLX
  • Experience with hardware description languages like Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities
