Job description

Intel is seeking a Wafer Level Assembly Process Engineer to join their manufacturing team in New Mexico. This role focuses on optimizing high-volume manufacturing processes and equipment while driving innovation in semiconductor technology. The engineer will work with state-of-the-art technology and contribute to Intel's mission of creating impactful technology. This position offers the opportunity to lead process development initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing process control, equipment engineering, or related fields with a bachelor's degree; or 3+ years of experience with a master's degree; or 0 years with a PhD.
  • Technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own and optimize critical high-volume manufacturing equipment and processes for maximum performance.
  • Execute comprehensive testing and measurement protocols to maintain control over critical dimensions and defectivity.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, cost, productivity, and yield metrics.
  • Develop and sustain manufacturing capacity while demonstrating technology capabilities for global transfer.
  • Lead process development initiatives for advanced manufacturing nodes and oversee equipment qualification.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and equipment suppliers to resolve technical challenges.
  • Implement excursion prevention systems and proactively address process discrepancies.
  • Participate in technology transfer activities including training and auditing across manufacturing sites.
