Job description

As a Silicon Photonics Process or Product Integration Engineer at Intel, you will be part of the SiP Process Development and Manufacturing team, focusing on the next generation of optical interconnect products. Your role will involve collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure new processes meet yield and reliability requirements. You will also drive yield optimization efforts and manage New Product Introduction roadmaps. This position requires strong technical leadership and engagement with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science discipline such as Materials Science, Physics, or Optics/Photonics.
  • 2+ years of experience in semiconductor and/or silicon photonics process technology.
  • 2+ years of experience in advanced data analysis using JMP, GAJT, and/or SQL.
  • Experience in statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiment (DOE) principles.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Yield Analysis, Device and Defect Engineers, and Process Engineers to ensure new processes meet yield and reliability requirements.
  • Define and establish process flow, procedures, and required equipment for new devices or products.
  • Plan and conduct experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle.
  • Train production engineers for transfer to high volume manufacturing.
  • Act as a key technical leader and primary fab contact for integrating products into fabrication processes.
  • Drive and manage yield optimization efforts and product qualification milestones throughout the product life cycle.
