Job description

Join Amazon Robotics' Embedded software team to develop intelligent safety systems that enable safe collaboration between humans and robots. This role focuses on creating embedded software for a global fleet of fulfillment robots, enhancing operational efficiency and safety. The team values collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines and emphasizes continuous learning and mentorship. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
  • Experience in embedded development in C/C++.
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience with general troubleshooting/debugging of hardware.
  • Experience writing low level drivers.
  • Experience in embedded wireless systems.
  • Knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, and parallel computing.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop embedded software for safety-critical robotics systems using modern languages.
  • Leverage modern development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions from concept through deployment.
  • Contribute throughout the product lifecycle following an agile software development approach.
  • Engage in collaborative code reviews to improve code quality and system reliability.
  • Debug and optimize embedded systems in both lab and field environments.
