NVIDIA is seeking a hardware engineer to join its Silicon Co-Design Group, which focuses on the intersection of architecture, design, firmware, and silicon. The role involves ensuring the quality and performance of next-generation silicon through validation and productization. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to define requirements and develop automated workflows for testing and analysis. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking technologies in a dynamic work environment.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in silicon bring-up, validation, debug, or productization.
- Deep understanding of digital development, microarchitecture, timing, clocking, power, noise, and control systems.
- Hands-on proficiency with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++ with experience in building lab automation.
Responsibilities
- Own bring-up, validation, qualification, tuning, and productization plans for next-generation silicon.
- Partner with architecture, build, firmware, and software teams to define power management and clocking requirements.
- Build and deploy AI-assisted lab workflows for automated telemetry and data evaluation.
- Develop test infrastructure, characterization methodologies, and bring-up playbooks to enhance post-silicon coverage.
- Lead root-cause analysis on complex hardware/software interaction issues.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
