Job description

NVIDIA's Silicon Co-Design Group is seeking a versatile engineer to innovate low-power silicon validation and system bring-up for AI and accelerated computing platforms. The team focuses on integrating silicon architecture, platform validation, and productization to enhance power efficiency and stability. This role emphasizes scaling validation processes through AI-powered analytics and intelligent automation. The engineer will play a crucial part in developing methodologies and workflows that influence the production readiness of NVIDIA products.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in silicon characterization, low-power feature validation, system integration, or post-silicon productization.
  • Strong understanding of silicon power behavior, Windows/Linux low-power states, firmware interactions, and system-level validation methodologies.
  • Experience building scalable automation, telemetry analytics, or AI-assisted engineering workflows for silicon validation.
  • Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, including digital design, computer architecture, power analysis, and scripting/programming skills.
  • Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up, lab validation, debug methodologies, and hardware lab instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM-assisted engineering workflows, intelligent automation frameworks, and telemetry analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Define the Power & Performance validation strategy across product lines, including power targets and low-power feature validation methodologies.
  • Build intelligent workload characterization frameworks using telemetry and AI-assisted analytics to improve validation coverage.
  • Define the instrumentation, telemetry frameworks, and firmware hooks needed for scalable silicon observability and automated validation.
  • Bring up and validate system-level low-power features using data-driven validation methodologies and generative AI-assisted debug techniques.
  • Develop AI/ML-assisted infrastructure for telemetry analysis, anomaly detection, and predictive validation analytics.
  • Partner with architecture, firmware, and system integration teams to build scalable validation pipelines and modern engineering workflows.
  • Support manufacturing teams in resolving production and feature issues using telemetry-powered insights and automated analytics.
  • Drive low-power feature readiness from early architecture definition through silicon bring-up and product release.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
