·FY 2025Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a Principal Performance and Manufacturing Architect to join its Silicon Co-Design Group. This role focuses on bridging the gap between design intent and manufacturing reality, utilizing first-principles thinking to enhance product outcomes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building models and defining specifications that are validated through silicon. This position requires a proactive approach to experiment design and a commitment to continuous improvement in product shipping processes.
Requirements
- BSEE, MSEE, PhD, or equivalent experience with 15+ years in the field.
- Deep understanding of transient VF behavior and its impact on stress conditions for defects and timing violations.
- Experience in building first-principles models that connect physical parameters to manufacturing outcomes.
- Proven track record of defining manufacturing test specifications for shipped products.
- Experience in conducting silicon validation experiments from NPI through production.
Responsibilities
- Own the physics by building models that connect AVF, defect mechanisms, and DVFS transients to manufacturing metrics.
- Specify ATE and SLT conditions to capture worst-case transient VF windows.
- Author methodology documents for each program to ensure alignment across teams.
- Own the validation plan for each release, including experiments and statistical acceptance criteria.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
