As an analytics engineer at Amazon Security, you will develop and manage software that detects and mitigates cybersecurity threats across AWS. You will collaborate with data scientists, security engineers, and software engineers to create innovative security solutions. You will also engage in research and analysis to identify security problems and develop automated solutions.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Understanding of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) used by threat actors
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards and code reviews
• Knowledge of host and network telemetry data and networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP
• Experience with analytic development for endpoint and/or network security

• Research, identify, and prioritize security problems that can be detected using automation
• Develop detection prototypes and internet-scale systems to solve security problems
• Deep dive into data to differentiate between benign and malicious activity
• Perform exploratory data analysis to build the right security detections and mitigations
• Write code for proofs of concept while leveraging a multidisciplinary team to deliver automated solutions
