Job description
NVIDIA is seeking an experienced system design Hardware Engineer to join their Silicon Solutions Group. This role focuses on leading system-design efforts to enhance semiconductor quality across various products, including data centers and automotive solutions. The engineer will collaborate with multiple teams to address complex challenges and improve next-generation silicon performance and reliability. Requirements
- 9+ years in system architecture, design, and semiconductor bringup experience.
- BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong fundamentals in digital design, computer architecture, and power/timing/fault analysis.
- Deep understanding of firmware/driver interaction with hardware.
- Knowledge of PVT dependencies, binning methodologies, and VF characterization.
- Experience in performance and power management including DVFS and power gating.
- Hands-on validation skills with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Understanding of fault models, DPPM, quality metrics, and RAS is a plus.
- Established proficiency in collaborative, multi-functional environments.
Responsibilities
- Design workarounds and solutions through lab experimentation.
- Develop, prototype, and validate system-level features on existing and new silicon.
- Lead system design in partnership with architecture, software, and operations teams.
- Conduct hardware-side debug efforts to identify feature bugs and silicon defects.
- Develop advanced debug tools and infrastructure to meet aggressive schedules.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and customer teams to resolve production issues.
