The Engineering Program Manager will lead complex, cross-functional programs to advance Apple's Smarter Chemistry strategy. This role involves translating emerging chemical regulations into actionable compliance plans and orchestrating initiatives across Apple's hardware portfolio. The position requires collaboration with global regulatory teams and influencing product design decisions. The ideal candidate will thrive at the intersection of chemistry, product design, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Environmental Science/Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 7+ years of experience in chemical regulatory compliance, product environmental compliance, or a closely related field within consumer electronics, hardware manufacturing, or a regulated industry
- Excellent and rigorous program management skills
- Demonstrated expertise with global substance regulations and frameworks including REACH (EU), RoHS, California Proposition 65, TSCA, K-REACH, China RoHS, and emerging PFAS restrictions
- Strong understanding of green chemistry principles and the toxicological basis for chemical restrictions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally (estimated 10–20%)
