The team focuses on building AI-powered incident response systems that automate the investigation of production issues and recommend mitigations. This role involves designing and developing high-performance systems on AWS, while collaborating with engineers and product managers to deliver high-quality software. The ICON team plays a crucial role in supporting Amazon's global marketplaces and consumer experiences.

- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Design and build production generative AI workflows that automate incident investigation processes.
- Develop scalable services and tools on AWS that handle high volumes of operational data.
- Solve broadly defined problems from design to delivery while balancing speed and technical quality.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and product managers to scope projects and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Evaluate and apply emerging technologies, including generative AI and machine learning, to operational challenges.
Benefits
- Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
