Job description

This role is focused on building innovative advertising solutions that extend campaigns to reach customers off the store using advanced technologies like machine learning and AI. The Sponsored Products and Brands Offsite team at Amazon Ads is dedicated to transforming the advertising landscape and enhancing customer engagement. The position requires a deeply technical leader who will collaborate with both internal and external partners to drive results at scale. The team is passionate about developing responsible AI technologies that balance the needs of advertisers and improve the shopping experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new components using the latest event-driven and server-less AWS technologies.
  • Develop both real time and petabyte scale big data systems working directly with different types of technology.
  • Design, launch, own and evolve software that serves both the interests of customers and advertisers.
  • Work closely with scientists and economists to invent and build ML-based approaches.
