Job description
This role is for a strategic engineering leader at Fidelity Asset Management Solutions, responsible for overseeing Portfolio Construction technology platforms. The position involves managing a team of approximately 9 software engineers while driving the adoption of AI-assisted development tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern software engineering and a passion for talent development and engineering excellence. The team focuses on delivering scalable and resilient solutions for multi-asset investing and portfolio construction.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams, including direct management of approximately 8–10 software engineers.
- Deep technical expertise across modern engineering stacks, cloud-native platforms, and enterprise-scale software delivery.
- Hands-on experience using and driving adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and similar technologies.
- Ability to influence technical direction and partner effectively with product leadership.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and coaching skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers.
- Drive delivery of strategic technology initiatives supporting portfolio construction and multi-asset investment capabilities.
- Accelerate engineering productivity and quality through adoption of AI-enabled software development practices and tools.
- Partner closely with product and technology leaders to align engineering execution with business priorities.
- Deliver scalable, resilient, and high-quality technology solutions using modern engineering practices and cloud-native architectures.
