Job description
Elanco is seeking a skilled Bioanalytical Analyst to join the Large Molecule Assay team within Research and Breakthrough Innovation. This laboratory-based role focuses on executing ligand-binding assays to quantify monoclonal antibodies and other protein therapeutics in biological matrices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with immunoassay platforms and a strong desire to learn about the unique challenges in bioanalysis. The position emphasizes collaboration and effective communication within a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
- B.S. in Immunology, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Hands-on experience performing quantitative ligand binding assays using platforms such as a spectrophotometer, Meso Scale Discovery (MSD), Gyros, or Quanterix is preferred.
- Experience with performing immunogenicity (Anti-Drug Antibody, ADA) assays is preferred.
- Familiarity with cell-based neutralizing antibody (NAb) assays is preferred.
- Strong data analysis skills and experience with relevant software (e.g., SoftMax Pro, Benchling) is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a high degree of scientific rigor.
Responsibilities
- Perform ligand-binding assays for the quantification of monoclonal antibodies in various biological fluids.
- Perform fit-for-purpose bioanalytical methods according to internal SOPs and global regulatory guidelines.
- Analyze samples from preclinical and clinical studies to provide high-quality data to project teams.
- Manage critical reagent inventory to ensure long-term assay consistency and performance.
- Aid in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with assays.
- Assist with laboratory maintenance functions such as buffer preparation and laboratory inventory management.
- Meticulously document all experimental procedures and results in an electronic lab notebook.
- Work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional matrix environment, communicating effectively with team members.
