Job description
As a Device Software Development Engineer on the Amazon Leo for Government team, you will design and develop embedded software for satellite and ground systems. This role focuses on creating fault-tolerant, real-time platforms that support critical government initiatives. You will collaborate closely with hardware, systems, and product teams to deliver secure and high-performance solutions. Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor or tech lead in an engineering team
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience in embedded development in C/C++
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance of TS/SCI
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for satellite and ground terminal systems.
- Leverage modern application frameworks for Embedded Linux and RTOS platforms.
- Implement and integrate software for data processing, device control, and networking protocols.
- Debug and resolve complex hardware-software integration issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless hardware-software interaction.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews.
