Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of hardware engineering experience.
- Experience in PCB and FPC design including schematic capture, stackup, and circuit board layout.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
- Experience with project management of technical projects.
- Experience with electrical theory, robotics, controls components, and automated equipment.
- Experience with motor control systems and associated drive electronics.
- Experience with sensor integration for robotics including force/torque sensors, encoders, IMUs, and proximity sensors.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end electrical hardware design for robotic systems from system-level architecture to production release.
- Own schematic design and multi-layer PCB layout in Altium Designer.
- Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in collaboration with fabrication and assembly vendors.
- Define system-level electrical architecture for robotic platforms.
- Contribute embedded firmware to validate interfaces and unblock system integration.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical and electromechanical failures.
- Develop and execute board- and system-level validation test plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including controls, mechanical, firmware, and software.
