Job description
This position is for an experienced technical expert in large scale distributed systems development to work on Amazon Aurora, a cloud-based relational database engine. The role involves designing and developing significant system software components that power AWS database services. Candidates will be expected to deliver high-quality code while mentoring other engineers. This is a unique opportunity to influence technology and product development within a fast-growing business.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
Responsibilities
- Own the design and development of significant system software components
- Build rock-solid components for Amazon Aurora services
- Mentor other engineers in best practices and coding standards
- Deliver solid code that has a broad business impact
