Job description

The Quality Engineer will join the Quality Engineering organization to support the quality strategy for advanced operations. This role involves contributing throughout the quality lifecycle, from development to high-volume production. The engineer will work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that hardware products meet high-quality standards. The position requires a proactive approach to quality management and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field
  • 7+ years of experience in quality engineering within environments producing complex electromechanical or precision hardware products
  • Experience with APQP/PPAP processes, DFMEA/PFMEA, control plan development, and core quality tools
  • Experience with metrology or dimensional inspection functions
  • Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) processes and non-conformance disposition
  • Demonstrated ability to influence product and process design through data-driven quality arguments

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Execute incoming quality control, in-process inspection, and final product acceptance activities
  • Maintain quality data systems for tracking defects, yields, escapes, and corrective actions
  • Participate in DFMEAs and PFMEAs during product and process development
  • Support quality readiness for New Product Introductions (NPI)
  • Execute measurement system analysis and process capability studies
  • Execute Supplier Quality Engineering activities and conduct first article inspections
  • Monitor supplier quality performance and drive supplier improvement
  • Operate and support the metrology lab and validate measurement systems
  • Conduct root cause analysis for internal defects and supplier quality issues
  • Track quality metrics and drive continuous improvement through data analysis
