Job description

As a Human Factors Researcher on the Watches team at Google, you will be part of a collaborative UX team focused on enhancing user interactions with wearable devices. Your role will involve ensuring that physical interactions with these devices are effortless and comfortable. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design experiments, assess biometric responses, and analyze various stimuli. This position is ideal for a quantitative researcher with strong programming skills and a passion for improving product design through data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Cognitive Neuroscience, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.
  • 6 years of experience with research methods in an applied research setting.
  • Experience with programming languages such as R or Python and quantitative data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand human response to tactile, visual, auditory, and haptic stimuli.
  • Assess biometric and ergonomic responses to various wearable devices.
  • Moderate experiments and interact directly with experimental participants.
  • Visualize experimental results for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Advocate for users by recommending novel hardware solutions based on data-driven research methodologies.
