The Controls Engineer for Data Center Technology and Systems at Google will be part of a team focused on optimizing the physical design and operations of data centers. This role involves ensuring compliance with codes and standards while driving improvements in critical infrastructure projects. The engineer will work with advanced technologies and collaborate with experts in the field to enhance the Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS). The position requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to lead controls projects and foster innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience working on critical infrastructure projects related to process improvements.
- Experience with mission critical systems and operations such as power generation or data centers.
- Experience implementing controls engineering.
Responsibilities
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).
- Lead the full life-cycle of controls projects, including developing scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
- Develop and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and assistance to internal customers.
- Conduct regular site visits to supervise vendor performance and ensure compliance with design specifications.
