The Senior Quantitative UX Researcher will join a multi-disciplinary team at Google, focusing on Search Growth Systems and App Foundations. This role emphasizes mixed-methods UX research with a strong quantitative approach to drive growth strategies and enhance user experiences. The researcher will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to uncover user insights and inform product design decisions. The position requires a blend of behavioral research design, statistical proficiency, and programming skills to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in product research in an applied research setting, or similar.
- Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics such as Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go.
- Experience designing and executing a wide range of quantitative research methods including A/B testing, survey, and log analysis.
- Experience with data querying languages such as SQL.
- Experience with qualitative research methods.
Responsibilities
- Design, conduct, and analyze mixed-methods research with a focus on quantitative methods to inform product strategy and design decisions.
- Synthesize data from multiple sources into insights and compelling narratives to understand user behaviors at scale.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and data scientists to identify research needs and execute studies.
- Explore and implement AI tools and techniques within research workflows to improve efficiency and depth of analysis.
- Communicate research findings and recommendations effectively to audiences, including cross-functional partners and leadership.
