The Senior Director of Engineering for GCE Core Virtualization at Google will lead teams responsible for core hypervisor, memory management, and virtualization security. This role is critical in shaping the future of Google Cloud's virtualization stack, ensuring it remains performant, scalable, and secure. The position involves addressing complex technical challenges and driving strategic architectural evolution. The director will also oversee the engineering execution for the ARM instance portfolio and manage customer escalations.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 15 years of experience in software engineering leadership.
• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other major cloud providers.
• Experience developing and operating large-scale infrastructure systems.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers, driving the development and execution of GCE's technical roadmap.
• Own and enhance the security posture of the GCE Virtualization stack.
