Job description

This role focuses on applying mechanical engineering principles to develop and optimize verification plans for mechanical products. The engineer will work closely with stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure product functionality across various applications. The position emphasizes risk assessment and proactive problem resolution to enhance product quality before reaching customers. The engineer will also lead process improvements and utilize systems engineering methods to translate stakeholder needs into verifiable requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 4 years of experience as a Product, Design, Validation, Test, or Reliability Engineer
  • Experience with Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R)
  • Knowledge of Integrated Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (iDFMEA) and Engineering Standard Work (ESW)
  • Familiarity with Systems Definition and Design process and System Requirements Engineering methods

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with stakeholders to define technical requirements for verification plans.
  • Verify and validate the functionality of mechanical products across various environments.
  • Plan, track, and evaluate results from analyses and functional tests to assess product risk.
  • Lead the development and improvement of work processes across the engineering discipline.
  • Utilize a 7-step problem-solving process to identify root causes and implement solutions.
