Job description

The Business Tax Services- Quantitative Economic and Statistics Tax- Policy Senior role at EY focuses on analyzing and modeling economic, tax, and regulatory policies. The position is part of the EY Quantitative Economics and Statistics (QUEST) practice, which consists of a diverse team of economists, statisticians, and business analysts. This team leverages advanced data-driven approaches to produce meaningful results while avoiding common data pitfalls. The ideal candidate will contribute to building a better working world through quantitative analysis and effective communication of findings.

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. in public policy, economics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience, preferably in fiscal policy and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to apply quantitative methods in a business consulting environment.
  • Strong technical skills in data analysis using Microsoft Excel and coding languages such as R, Python, or SAS.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Quantitatively analyze and model economic, tax, and regulatory policies.
  • Conduct econometric analysis and forecasting of macroeconomic and fiscal conditions.
  • Construct economic models to estimate the economic or fiscal impact of policy or regulatory changes.
  • Interpret and synthesize academic research in economics and incorporate findings into work.
  • Write and edit reports that translate technical quantitative analyses for broad audiences.
