Job description

The Senior Software Engineer role in the DPU Integrations and Operational Excellence team focuses on designing, building, testing, and deploying automation tools for control and data plane software on custom-built silicon. This position requires a deep understanding of DPU architecture and customer workflows, as well as strong debugging skills. The team aims to enhance performance and agility in Azure compute and networking use cases. The role also involves managing field incidents and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deploy innovative integration and diagnostics tools.
  • Provide technical leadership to identify the scope of testing and create a quality plan for DPU-based compute products.
  • Lead the team by providing technical expertise and oversight, monitoring test plan execution and quality.
  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guide other engineers in monitoring systems for degradation or interruptions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to debug field issues and drive sessions to determine root causes.
  • Maintain dashboards of live and dormant cases and key performance indicators.
  • Provide feedback from field issues back into the engineering development and testing process.
