Job description

As a Junior Electrical Engineer in the Advanced Manufacturing group at Jacobs, you will contribute to the engineering and design of data centers and other mission-critical facilities. This role offers flexibility in location across the U.S. and emphasizes collaboration within a multi-discipline team environment. You will be involved in the design of power distribution systems, emergency systems, and low voltage communications systems. The position also provides opportunities for mentorship and career development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline
  • 1 or more years of experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design
  • Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
  • Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide design work for data center facility power distribution systems and other electrical systems.
  • Contribute to team technical collaboration and perform quality reviews of design packages.
  • Assist directly with other portions of the design process and interact with clients and contractors.
  • Establish design requirements and produce construction documents in a collaborative environment.
  • Manage quality, scope, budget, and schedule for projects.
