The Traffic Engineering Intern will join Jacobs' Transportation team in Reston, Virginia, focusing on innovative solutions for traffic flow, safety, and infrastructure improvements. Requirements
- Candidate must be currently enrolled in at least their sophomore year working towards a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future is preferred.
- Pursuing a master's degree in civil engineering or a related field is ideal.
Responsibilities
- Observe and collect field traffic data such as counts and signal timings.
- Analyze traffic data and summarize findings using charts and tables.
- Prepare briefings and reports based on traffic analysis.
- Perform engineering studies using software such as Synchro and VISSIM.
- Assemble data and conduct analysis using GIS.
- Support mid-level and senior staff members as needed.
