Job description

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Director, Data & Analytics Engineer in New York to develop and maintain critical trading and servicing applications. The role focuses on enhancing efficiency and scalability within the Fixed Income and Lending business. The team leverages various technologies, including Python, Java, and React, to integrate data and automate operations. This position also involves working in an agile environment and contributing to high-quality software delivery.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study.
  • Requires four years of experience in the position offered or as an Analyst, Technology; Developer; or related occupation.
  • Requires four years of experience with Python, Java, React, Spring Boot, SQL, and relational DB concepts.
  • Requires three years of experience with Informatica Power Center and Teradata SQL Studio.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain critical trading and servicing applications using Python, Java, React, and Spring Boot.
  • Build operations workflows to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Design and implement straight-through processing for servicing and trading.
  • Integrate data from internal and external sources for a holistic view of desk inventories.
  • Leverage GenAI to automate manual operations tasks.
  • Perform unit testing, component testing, and integration testing.
  • Monitor applications and provide production support.
  • Develop automated CI/CD processes for software delivery.
  • Work in an agile scrum team and contribute to agile processes.
