Job description

This position focuses on developing and driving analog and mixed-signal IP architectures for system-on-chip (SoC) independent AMS IPs. The role involves conducting architectural analysis, designing novel architectures, and enhancing system performance through innovative techniques. The ideal candidate will collaborate with design and verification teams to validate robust AMS IPs and support SoC architects in their efforts. This role is part of Intel's Central Engineering Group, which aims to deliver scalable engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field with 9+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience, or a PhD with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design within standard CMOS technologies.
  • Familiarity with backend verification tools such as Monte Carlo simulations and EMIR.
  • Hands-on experience with transmission line theory and AMS system modeling.
  • Proven experience with high-speed PHY designs from concept through qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive analog and mixed-signal IP architectures and signal processing algorithms.
  • Conduct top-down architectural analysis of AMS systems and perform transistor-level feasibility studies.
  • Design novel architectures and define microarchitectures for next-generation AMS IP.
  • Enhance system performance by leveraging digitally assisted analog techniques.
  • Collaborate with IP design and verification teams to define and validate robust AMS IPs.

Benefits

  • Intel offers a comprehensive benefits package including competitive pay, stock programs, healthcare coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, parental leave, and programs supporting employee wellbeing and professional development.
