Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer to join their team in New York. The role focuses on developing software systems to automate the compression process and enhance operational efficiency. The engineer will also migrate features to next-generation software frameworks and address issues in existing systems. This position allows for telecommuting up to two days per week.
Requirements
- Requires a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Requires three years of experience in the position offered or three years as a Java/Scala Developer, Associate, Analyst, or a related role in the technology field.
- Requires three years of experience with Java, SQL, JSON, Data Structure, Algorithm, Agile, Sybase, Treadmill, Rate derivatives, Spring, Scala, Functional Programming, Python, and C#.
Responsibilities
- Develop software systems to further automate the compression process.
- Migrate trend features to next generation software development frameworks.
- Work on future projects to increase the efficiency of U.S. operations and desks.
- Identify and fix issues in existing software systems reported by U.S. operations or traders.
