Morgan Stanley is seeking a Director, Software Engineer in Alpharetta, Georgia, to design and develop software products that support business expansions and infrastructure setups. The role involves creating new features and database systems based on business requirements while collaborating with users and business analysts. The engineer will also be responsible for communicating technical solutions globally and creating technical documentation. Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Requires five years of experience in the position offered or as a Manager, Software Developer, or related occupation in the technology field.
- Requires five years of experience with C++, Java, Python, and Perl.
- Requires five years of experience with database systems including Sybase, Oracle, and DB2.
- Requires five years of experience with SQL, Spring Framework, REST and SOAP web services.
- Requires five years of experience with Apache HTTP server, Apache Tomcat, and microservices.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop software products to support business expansions.
- Create new features using various programming languages.
- Design and develop database systems according to business requirements.
- Interact regularly with users, Business Analysts, and Subject Matter Experts to collect requirements.
- Communicate business requirements and technical solutions with global business teams.
- Work on different phases of the software development life cycle.
- Create technical documentation including design documents and handbooks.
- Perform code reviews and provide effective feedback.
- Work with large scale distributed systems.
