Job description

The Embedded Software Development Engineer will be responsible for building and owning server-related firmware within the AWS Hardware Engineering team. This team focuses on creating innovative, scalable solutions for real-world data center infrastructure problems. The role involves collaborating with world-class software developers and working on diverse technology domains, from embedded software to large-scale distributed systems. The position offers an opportunity to directly impact AWS services and contribute to the company's growth in the cloud computing market.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience in embedded development in C/C++
  • Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred
  • 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the server-related firmware for AWS infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with a team of software developers to create innovative solutions.
  • Build, validate, and support firmware across diverse technology domains.
  • Engage in scripting language development and Linux driver development.
