Job description

The Product Support Engineering Reliability Engineer at Amazon Prime Air focuses on enhancing the reliability of drone operations through technical analysis and collaboration with design engineering teams. This role involves investigating system performance issues and implementing data-driven improvements to optimize drone delivery services. The engineer will work closely with various engineering disciplines to ensure high reliability and performance standards. Candidates should possess strong technical communication skills and a solid understanding of system reliability statistics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
  • 5+ years of equivalent experience in systems engineering
  • Experience in robotics design, automation systems development, or control systems design
  • Experience in data analysis and leveraging analytics to make decisions
  • Experience troubleshooting and identifying the root cause of issues
  • Experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems, and systems

Responsibilities

  • Investigate drone system performance for anomalies and deliver solutions to operations and maintenance team escalations.
  • Lead cross-functional system investigations with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to optimize drone system performance metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights to establish benchmark standards and reduce operational burden.
  • Deliver measurable system behavior improvements based on data analysis that impacts customer experience.
  • Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, presenting strategies and results to senior leadership and operational partners.
